A Mickey Mouse Party!

My sweet Cooper is now 3 years old!  To celebrate we had a Mickey Mouse party.  It was at the park and the weather was absolutely beautiful!  We were even lucky enough to have a nice breeze blow.  Lots of family and friends helped us celebrate.  Here are some pictures from the big event:

The invitation:  (Yes, I know…..Mickey’s ears aren’t placed exactly in the right position.  The hubs just happened to point that out AFTER I had designed, asked his opinion a hundred times, and then had them printed.  Such a man!!)

The cake:  (Remember the Grand Canyon cake from last year? Well, it appears that my cake baking has improved.  GREATLY.  You can actually tell this one is a cake!)

3 Months! (A few days late)

062  085

Madox Caid,

You are 3 months old!

  • You weigh 12 pounds 2 ounces and are 23 inches long.
  • You hate having a wet or dirty diaper.  As soon as I change you, a smile spreads across your face and shows your sweet dimples!
  • You laughed for the first time.
  • Laying on your belly makes you so happy!  You hold your head up and look all around you like a big boy.
  • You’re favorite thing to say is “agoo”
  • You are sleeping all night!  Usually from 9 pm to 7 am.

It amazes us how you are growing so fast!  You are such a blessing!

Grilling Goodness

blog01

Summer at our house means grilling, grilling, and more grilling.  I became obsessed with Paula Deen last summer.  (To the point that Trevin would say “please mom, let’s not watch the cooking show again.”)  She showed a grilled corn on the cob recipe that I couldn’t wait to try.  It tastes just as good as it looks!

*Paint the corn with mayonnaise

*Sprinkle  parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and paprika on top of the mayo

*Wrap in tinfoil and place on the grill

Happy Grilling!

Kindergarten Bound

Preschool is officially over, and this handsome boy is now on his way to kindergarten! Over the past 2 years, Trevin has learned all of his letters and sounds, how to write his first and last name, the beginning sounds of words, and much much more.
A big thank you to his teacher, Mrs. House (also my sis!) for such a wonderful and positive year! She's an amazing dedicated teacher who puts 110% into teaching.
Trevin has made some wonderful friends, and has become quite the ladies man!
Trevin and Kylie!

Trevin and Kailie!
I'm so grateful that he loves school. He's even counting the days until August! So while Trevin is awaiting school to start again, I will be soaking in every minute of summer vacation!
