My Best Friend (and Mama’s) Wedding

My parents were divorced a couple of years ago.  My dad has since been remarried and now it’s my mama’s turn! She has a WONDERFUL man who treats her like the princess she is.  Seriously….he’s REALLY good to her.  Which is a good thing or he’d probably have his 3 son in laws beat him up!  Ha! They had a small wedding and today they headed off on a 2 week Alaskan Cruise.  I’m so happy for them! (And a wee bit jealous! HA!) Here’s the beautiful bride! Seriously….she looks so young!  Maybe it’ll run in the family. =)

My Uncle Jimmy from Texas walked her down the aisle.  I  must add:  Cooper REALLY wanted to walk her down too.  Melt. My. Heart.  Doesn’t she look so happy?!

The happy couple!

Isn’t my sister just precious?  She makes me sick =)

I have to say… mom has some of the best friends in the world.

Dallas/Ft. Worth

We recently took the boys to Dallas/Ft. Worth for a few days.  Very last minute.  Ty called and said, “Get packed.  We’re going to Dallas for a few days.” OK.  So not my style.  I like to plan.  But with Ty’s job, you never know if he can be off or not.  So when he says lets go, you better take him up on it.  We left on a Monday afternoon.  The boys were excited to stay in a hotel, and even more excited that our room was on the top floor.  Madox was amused with the luggage cart.035 034

Tuesday morning we went to the Ft. Worth Children’s Museum.  The boys loved it.

I’m sure letting Madox sit inside the dinosaur footprint was against the rules, but we did it anyway.

Cooper was having more fun burying his foot than digging.  Guess he was imagining he was at the beach!

More museum.  Madox was in love with the bubbles.  He kept pointing and speaking his Chinese language.

After a long morning at the museum and an afternoon at the mall we headed to Joe’s Crab Shack to eat.

Every 45 minutes the music comes on and everyone starts dancing.  Madox was intrigued.  He kept staring at them with a very serious face.

Getting ready to dig in. MMMMM….snow crab!

On Wednesday, we slept in and then enjoyed the pool.

We went to an amazing BBQ place for lunch called Smokey John’s. I didn’t get any pictures, but my ribs were delish! Then it was off to the Dallas Aquarium.

Just a fun pic outside the aquarium!

Our favorite part….the sharks!  I seriously could have watched them all day.

Next was dinner at Burger House.

Everyone was tired and we headed home.  The boys do much better when we travel at night.  Before we left, my sweet Ty let me stop by Michael’s to let me stock up on a few craft items.  Such a trooper =)!

We had tons of fun, but like always it was good to be home.
