We recently took the boys to Dallas/Ft. Worth for a few days. Very last minute. Ty called and said, “Get packed. We’re going to Dallas for a few days.” OK. So not my style. I like to plan. But with Ty’s job, you never know if he can be off or not. So when he says lets go, you better take him up on it. We left on a Monday afternoon. The boys were excited to stay in a hotel, and even more excited that our room was on the top floor. Madox was amused with the luggage cart.
Tuesday morning we went to the Ft. Worth Children’s Museum. The boys loved it.
Dinosaur Exhibit
I’m sure letting Madox sit inside the dinosaur footprint was against the rules, but we did it anyway.
Digging for dinosaur bones
Cooper was having more fun burying his foot than digging. Guess he was imagining he was at the beach!
Gearing up for the IMAX movie
More museum. Madox was in love with the bubbles. He kept pointing and speaking his Chinese language.
Playing in the water.
After a long morning at the museum and an afternoon at the mall we headed to Joe’s Crab Shack to eat.
Every 45 minutes the music comes on and everyone starts dancing. Madox was intrigued. He kept staring at them with a very serious face.
Getting ready to dig in. MMMMM….snow crab!
On Wednesday, we slept in and then enjoyed the pool.
We went to an amazing BBQ place for lunch called Smokey John’s. I didn’t get any pictures, but my ribs were delish! Then it was off to the Dallas Aquarium.
Just a fun pic outside the aquarium!
Our favorite part….the sharks! I seriously could have watched them all day.
Madox enjoying his light up shark from the gift shop.
Next was dinner at Burger House.
Making shadow glasses while waiting for our food!
Everyone was tired and we headed home. The boys do much better when we travel at night. Before we left, my sweet Ty let me stop by Michael’s to let me stock up on a few craft items. Such a trooper =)!
We had tons of fun, but like always it was good to be home.

Looks like fun! Stephen is from Ft Worth and when we visited in June his sister-in-law told us that the Museum wasn't any good... but it looks like y'all had fun so we'll have to hit it up next time we're down there!
Looks like such a fun trip! I'm sure the boys had a blast! Just so you know, you are going to be my go to gal when I have boy questions!!! :)
Wow! We live a couple of hours away and will be planning a trip to the Children's Museum, just so our boys can play in the sand! Thanks for sharing!
